I was raised in Wichita, Kansas and spent the next thirty years living all over the country while raising my three children and working as a bank manager, business owner, caregiver and part time student. My husband and I have been married for forty seven years and spend as much time together as possible. Our children have blessed us with four beautiful grandchildren that we adore. We share our lives with two dogs and enjoy long walk, traveling and visiting family.
I received my bachelor's degree from Wichita State University in Psychology, Sociology and Gerontology. I earned my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University and did my internship both at the Center of Family Living at Friends University and at Hospice Care of Kansas. Working as therapist has always been my passion and after spending many years as a caregiver for those with terminal illnesses, I saw the difficulties that families faced with the diagnosis, grief and loss. I also discovered first hand the hardships of watching family members suffer with cancer, Alzheimer's and strokes. I continue to dedicate many of client hours to helping families who are suffering with grief or carrying the burden of care giving.
As a parent and grandmother, I know how hard parenting is and what a difficult road the children face today with peer pressure and academic problems. I admire the courage of single parents and appreciate the sacrifices they must make to raise their children alone.

The conditions surrounding these issues and much more, I address anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, infidelity, suicidal ideation, trauma, abuse, sexual dysfunction, behavioral problems, weight problems and health related issues.
